Beaune - a lovely little old town worth walking around to see its splendour and of course a key wine centre of France. Markets on Wednesday (small) and Saturday morning.
Dijon - if you have time it is worth driving to the city via the Ouche Valley which takes you via some very Burgundian Villages - you may be lucky enough to see some amazing wildlife.
Châteauneuf - 14th Century Castle set in a Village voted as one of France's prettiest. You can visit a castle and here you can find a small number of cafes, restaurants, art and antique shops.
Savigny-lès-Beaune - A wine village with a Chateau not to be missed if you are a car, plane (there are over 100 jets to be seen) or motor bike enthusiast - there are also several Wine Caves.
Nolay - A small town with a medieval market square and a few French antique shops and a swimming lake.
Nuits Saint Georges - a town famous for its wine - L'imaginarium will provide an explanation of the wine industry over the years.
Autun - Features a number of Roman ruins including a Roman Amphitheatre. It is worth visiting on Market day either on a Wednesday or Friday. There is a very good swimming pool complex.
Vézelay - World UNESCO site famous for the hill full of artisan shops leading up to the amazing Abbey. During this trip you may wish to visit - Guedelon (guedelon.fr). Started in 1997 a medieval castle is being built by only using medieval techniques.
Fontenay - a Cistercian Monastery dating back to 1118 in the Romanesque Style a UNESCO site (featured in many films), a day out could be combined with a trip to Alesia site of the famous Roman battle and now home to a fabulous Roman Museum.
Semur-En-Auxois and Flavigny (featured in the film Chocolat) are well worth a visit
Chagny is well work a visit on a Sunday as they have a very lively market - if you like antique shopping they have a wonderful antiques market every month.
Walking
There are many beautiful routes to take from the village - there is a route map of all the hikes from the village at the entrance of the park.

Etang de Fouché near Arnay-le-Duc town centre and close to the campsite (20 mins drive)
Lac de Panthier near Vandenesse-en-Auxois and Pouilly-en-Auxois (25 mins drive)
